Client: Python Properties
Project Value: £1.5 million
Role: Lead Designer
St George’s house, previously used as an NHS prescription centre, had been unused for a number of years prior to the client purchasing the property. The existing classical architecture of the building had been lost and concealed under numerous modern fittings that had been installed by the previous occupiers.
The brief was to reinstate the original features of the building, design a modern café, art gallery, reception and communal facilities on the ground floor and create bespoke office suites, designed on a tenant by tenant basis on the upper floors.
The overall strategy for fire, acoustics and way finding was designed as part of the initial concept with the bespoke suites constructed on a floor by floor basis.
The completed building is fully occupied and has been short-listed for a number of prestigious awards.
